When Brody broke up with Paige and went to Europe, he suggested that someday, they’d pick up right where they left off. A hopeless romantic, she believed him.

But when they meet again, Brody’s dating a gorgeous actress.

They’re all going to attend the same wedding, and Paige plans to win Brody back. She even enlists her best friend’s brother, Aiden, to pretend to date her and make her ex jealous. A breezy, charming restaurant owner, Aiden actually avoids serious relationships, but as a fake boyfriend, he’s perfect.

As old friends and exes take part in wedding preparations and enjoy the beauty of the Florida coast, they begin to see themselves―and each other―in a new light.

In Beach Wedding Weekend by Rachel Magee, when Paige discovers her ex-boyfriend is back in town to stay she realizes she wants the man she still loves back. So, in order to make her ex jealous she comes up with a plan to use her best friend's brother, Aiden, as her fake boyfriend. However, the more time she spends with Aiden, the more she finds herself falling for the guy that doesn't do commitment. Will Paige and Aiden get the happy ever after they both deserve or will Paige end up with a broken heart?

What a fun and entertaining read Ms. Magee has delivered in this book where the main characters are captivating because of their back stories and their growing relationship; the dialogue was compelling and had me smiling at various moments throughout, especially when Aiden and Paige come up with terms of endearment for each other; and the plot was fast-paced and drew me in right from the beginning, as Paige and Aiden are such interesting characters and have such a good friendship. Certainly, Aiden knows how to cheer Paige up when life isn't going to plan in her career as a wedding planner.

With the main characters, I absolutely loved this pair together. The hero is confident; charming; a good businessman and I enjoyed that he fought for what he wanted professionally. I also liked that he did his best to keep his feelings out of the agreement he had with Paige but found it impossible not to fall in love with her. While the heroine, she's a good friend, kind, caring, hard-working and I loved that she was so willing to help Aiden with his need to woo investors in order to achieve the deal he wants. I also liked the decisions the heroine made throughout this story, especially when it came to her ex. Did the guy ever really love her or did he love being in a relationship?

Overall, Ms. Magee has penned a really good read in this book where the chemistry between Paige and Aiden is strong and convincing; the romance was sweet; and the ending had me cheering for this couple's happy ever after, as Aiden needs Paige in his life. However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up nicely because dreams should be chased and love is forever. I would recommend Beach Wedding Weekend by Rachel Magee, if you enjoy the fake relationship trope or books by authors Nancy Naigle, Debbie Macomber, Bella Andre and Barbara Freethy.

Rachel wrote her first novel when she was twelve and entered it into a contest for young author/illustrators. Unfortunately, the judges weren't impressed with her stick figures, so she dropped the dream of becoming a world-famous illustrator and stuck to spinning stories. When she's not busy working on her latest book, she loves to travel with her family and friends. By far, her favorite destination is the beach, which tends to work its way into most of her stories. Between vacations, you can find her at home in The Woodlands, TX with her wonderful husband, their two adventurous kids and a couple of spirited pets.
