REVIEW: LAWS OF ATTRACTION by SARAH TITLE

Laws of Attraction
Librarians in Love #3
By Sarah Title
Releasing October 31st, 2017
Zebra

It's taken law librarian Becky Schrader a long time to stop comparing herself to her family of overachievers and hone in on what she really wants--a normal life, white picket fence and all, Mr. Dream Guy included. But before she gets ahead of herself, her girlfriends convince her she needs to let down her hair for once, meet a hot guy and let the moment take over . . .

After graduating from an Ivy League law school and practicing in New York for a few years, the plan for Foster Deacon was to return home to Denver and join the family firm, marry the right woman, shoulder his responsibilities. Except Foster's always been a bit of a rebel, and he's decided to suit up with his family's rival firm. What better way to celebrate than to spend a night with a gorgeous blonde who leaves before he could say, "Good morning . . ."

Becky feels she did the right thing, leaving her lover's bed and not her number. After all, she needs to focus on her job at Glassmeyer & Polak--until the new hire walks through the door . . . with a bad case of happily ever after.

In Laws of Attraction (Librarians in Love #3) by Sarah Title, Becky Schrader has always felt like she's not good enough to be a member of her family with siblings and parents that have achieved so much while she's working for a law firm using her degree to research everything and anything to help the firm win cases. However, over the years she's gotten over her hang-ups and has done everything she can to succeed. Yet, there's something missing from her life -- love and happiness -- and she's on a mission to find her Mr. Right. But that doesn't mean she can't have a little fun along the way when she meets Foster Deacon. Will Foster be her dream man, or will she walk away from a chance at happy ever after?

This book didn't capture my attention right from the beginning like the previous books did, but once Becky and Foster discover that they work at the same law firm things get very interesting. Will Becky be able to ignore the intense chemistry she has with Foster because her job is important and she doesn't want to lose it? Will she give Foster a chance and hope she doesn't end up losing her job?

With the dialogue, I loved Becky's good friend who encourages her to let her hair down and find a hot guy to do whatever she wants with before she decides to get serious about finding her Mr. Right. Is Foster just what the doctor ordered? Will he be able to help her get over her hang-ups? Will she ever feel like she's good enough to be part of her family instead of the odd one out? Moreover, Becky is resilient, brave and I liked that she took a chance on Foster, even knowing that things might backfire and she could find herself out of a job if she's not careful. Yet, what I liked most of all about the heroine was her strength when it came to meeting Foster's family and dealing with her own as they make her feel like she doesn't exist.

While the hero, I could understand why he's made the decision to work for a rival law firm to his father's because the man is a controlling jerk that always does whatever he can to help his client win their case, no matter who he has to steamroll to win. I also liked how confident the hero was and how determined he was to win the heroine over, as he knows she's the right woman for him and he's not about to let her go. Will his family interfere in their relationship and send Becky running? Yet, what I liked most of all about the hero was how driven he was to win his case by using any resources he can.

Overall, Ms. Title has delivered another really good read for this series where the chemistry between this couple is strong and just keeps getting stronger the more the heroine does her best to resist their attraction after their one-night stand; the romance was delightful and had me hoping that the hero would win the heroine over because they're good together; and the ending had me liking the lengths the hero goes to in order to win Becky back after their relationship goes awry. Besides, it was a fun way for her, as she realizes there's possibilities beyond working for the law firm for her. Will she consider exploring something else she's good at that everyone seems to be giving her compliments about? I would recommend Laws of Attraction by Sarah Title, if you enjoy workplace romances or books by authors Virginia Taylor, Susan Fox, Rachel Gibson and Jenny Colgan.
