When Brody broke up with Paige and went to Europe, he suggested that someday, they’d pick up right where they left off. A hopeless romantic, she believed him.

But when they meet again, Brody’s dating a gorgeous actress.

They’re all going to attend the same wedding, and Paige plans to win Brody back. She even enlists her best friend’s brother, Aiden, to pretend to date her and make her ex jealous. A breezy, charming restaurant owner, Aiden actually avoids serious relationships, but as a fake boyfriend, he’s perfect.

As old friends and exes take part in wedding preparations and enjoy the beauty of the Florida coast, they begin to see themselves―and each other―in a new light.

In Beach Wedding Weekend by Rachel Magee, when Paige discovers her ex-boyfriend is back in town to stay she realizes she wants the man she still loves back. So, in order to make her ex jealous she comes up with a plan to use her best friend's brother, Aiden, as her fake boyfriend. However, the more time she spends with Aiden, the more she finds herself falling for the guy that doesn't do commitment. Will Paige and Aiden get the happy ever after they both deserve or will Paige end up with a broken heart?

What a fun and entertaining read Ms. Magee has delivered in this book where the main characters are captivating because of their back stories and their growing relationship; the dialogue was compelling and had me smiling at various moments throughout, especially when Aiden and Paige come up with terms of endearment for each other; and the plot was fast-paced and drew me in right from the beginning, as Paige and Aiden are such interesting characters and have such a good friendship. Certainly, Aiden knows how to cheer Paige up when life isn't going to plan in her career as a wedding planner.

With the main characters, I absolutely loved this pair together. The hero is confident; charming; a good businessman and I enjoyed that he fought for what he wanted professionally. I also liked that he did his best to keep his feelings out of the agreement he had with Paige but found it impossible not to fall in love with her. While the heroine, she's a good friend, kind, caring, hard-working and I loved that she was so willing to help Aiden with his need to woo investors in order to achieve the deal he wants. I also liked the decisions the heroine made throughout this story, especially when it came to her ex. Did the guy ever really love her or did he love being in a relationship?

Overall, Ms. Magee has penned a really good read in this book where the chemistry between Paige and Aiden is strong and convincing; the romance was sweet; and the ending had me cheering for this couple's happy ever after, as Aiden needs Paige in his life. However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up nicely because dreams should be chased and love is forever. I would recommend Beach Wedding Weekend by Rachel Magee, if you enjoy the fake relationship trope or books by authors Nancy Naigle, Debbie Macomber, Bella Andre and Barbara Freethy.

Rachel wrote her first novel when she was twelve and entered it into a contest for young author/illustrators. Unfortunately, the judges weren't impressed with her stick figures, so she dropped the dream of becoming a world-famous illustrator and stuck to spinning stories. When she's not busy working on her latest book, she loves to travel with her family and friends. By far, her favorite destination is the beach, which tends to work its way into most of her stories. Between vacations, you can find her at home in The Woodlands, TX with her wonderful husband, their two adventurous kids and a couple of spirited pets.

Better Than Me
Remington Medical #2
By Kimberly Kincaid
Releasing May 7th, 2019
Self-Published

Remington’s most notoriously single, notoriously sexy surgeon is about to fall for the one woman he can’t have…

Did I mention that she's A) his best friend, B) immune to his panty-melting charm, and C) sleeping on his couch for the next six weeks?

But Jonah’s not made for commitment, and a good man is the one thing Natalie deserves.

Not someone who can only offer up a couple of sizzling hot, no-strings-attached nights of pure pleasure. Unless that’s what she wants. Because Jonah wants her. And with each moment they spend working together—living together—the harder it is to resist temptation.

And even harder to resist the fall that might break them both…

A steamy medical contemporary romance from USA Today best-selling author Kimberly Kincaid. Watch this cocky hero fall head over scalpel for his sweet and sexy BFF. Full-length standalone story with action in the emergency room and the bedroom, and a sweet-and-sexy happily ever after.

In Better Than Me (Remington Medical #2) by Kimberly Kincaid, Jonah is a man that loves his space. However, when his best friend finds herself homeless, he reluctantly offers to let her stay. Yet, the more time he and Natalie spend together living in tight quarters, the more Jonah finds himself falling for the one woman he shouldn't fall in love with because he doesn't want to lose her friendship. Not when he's a man that doesn't do commitment. Will Natalie and Jonah give happy ever after between them a chance or will they lose their friendship?

What an absolutely captivating, emotionally-animated, superbly-crafted read Ms. Kincaid has delivered in this second book of her Remington Medical series encompassing compelling dialogue that had me reading quickly determined to discover whether this couple would be able to overcome the tough obstacles they face to be together; and remarkable characters whose back stories tugged at my heartstrings and had me enjoying Natalie's fight for independence and prove to her family that they don't need to be so overprotective.

With the main characters, I absolutely loved Jonah. He's one of the best heroes Ms. Kincaid has concocted. He's a good friend, hard-working and determined to help every patient that comes his way and it's understandable why he doesn't do relationships and commitment after what happened with his mom and dad and what happened with his last relationship. I also liked his determination to make things work with Natalie while she's staying with him, even though he's a man that likes his space. While Natalie, she's been through so much and goes through so much in this book that made my heart break for her. Why does life have to be so unfair? However, in saying that, she's strong, brave, kind, caring, a good doctor and I liked that she gave Jonah a chance, even knowing he doesn't do commitment and she wants forever love. Really, she's such a romantic at heart.

Overall, Ms. Kincaid has delivered a remarkable and emotional read in this book which had me smiling, laughing and crying at various moments throughout this story; the chemistry between this couple was potent and believable; the romance was delightful and had me loving these two together, as Jonah needs Natalie in his life; and the ending had me crying happy tears because of Jonah's determination to fight for his relationship with Natalie. He's not giving up on her and isn't about to let her get away, even though she's afraid he might lose her because of the battle she faces. Will everything be all right? However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up perfectly, as we get to know a bit more about Connor, which should make things interesting for the next book because it's clear he has secrets that he doesn't want anyone to discover. I would recommend Better Than Me by Kimberly Kincaid, if you enjoy the friends to lovers trope, the opposites attract trope, the temporary roommate trope, or books by authors Avery Flynn, Erin Nicholas, Catherine Bybee and Jennifer Blackwood.

BLOG TOUR - REVIEW: SWEET HOME LOUISIANA by ERIN NICHOLAS

Sweet Home Louisiana, an all-new sexy, small town, second chance rom com from New York Times bestselling author Erin Nicholas, is available now!

SweetHomeLousiana300.jpg

Sweet Home Louisiana
Boys of the Bayou #2
By Erin Nicholas
Releasing May 7th, 2019
Self-Published

Thanks to a drawn-up-while-drinking-moonshine partnership agreement, Madison Allain has to spend thirty days back on the bayou before she can sell her part of the family business. And if the heat and humidity and freaking alligators of Louisiana aren’t enough to agitate the cool and in-control California girl, then Owen Landry, the equally hot guy who stole her heart twelve years ago, will sure do the trick.

Owen just has to remember three simple-ish rules: Do not fight with her. Do not fight *over* her. Do *not* kiss her. He can do this. He’s charming and friendly for a living after all. But this is Maddie. The only woman to ever shake up this laid-back bayou boy.

Besides, she’s not staying. No way. These people and this town make her crazy. She doesn’t want to be crazy. She definitely does *not* want to own a swamp boat tour company. She just wants to paint. In her quiet, beautiful, alligators-not-allowed, *air-conditioned* art studio.

As for that hot bayou boy? Well, he’s…amazing. But he belongs here in the South. And she definitely doesn’t. Even if her heart stays behind when she leaves.

In Sweet Home Louisiana (Boys of the Bayou #2) by Erin Nicholas, Madison Allain and Owen Landry had something special until they parted ways twelve years ago. However, with the recent death of her brother, Madison inherits his share of the company he owned along with Owen, Josh and Sawyer Landry and returns to the bayou in hopes of selling her share. Yet, the men don't make it easy for her and the more time she spends in the bayou, the more confused Madison becomes about her future. Will Owen and Madison get their second chance at happy ever after or will she go back to her life in California?
Normally I find it hard to put down any story Ms. Nicholas pens and this story was no different. Really, right from the beginning I was absolutely hooked, even though I didn't warm up to Madison right away. Indeed, I found her a little high almighty and believing she was too good for the bayou. Yet, as this story progresses, I found my opinion of her changing and I found myself cheering for her to get everything she wants in life after everything she's been through in her past. Will she find her mojo again when it comes to her creative nature?

As for the dialogue, it was extremely engaging and a wonderful combination of intense moments due to the main characters back stories and playful banter that had me loving this couple's journey to happy ever after and the close friendships they share with various secondary characters; characters that made me laugh and smile as they do their best to show Madison that she belongs in the bayou. Will Madison decide to stay?

With the main characters, I absolutely loved Owen as he'll do anything to make life easy for Madison. If she wants to return to where she's been living for so long, then who is he to stop her, even though he still wants her and would love for her to stay in the bayou. Furthermore, the hero is confident, charming, a good guy for all he does for family, especially Sawyer who is suffering so much guilt over what happened to Madison's brother; and I liked the struggle the hero faces to keep his distance, but soon discovers he can't resist the woman that's always had a hold on him.

Overall, Ms. Nicholas has delivered a wonderful and enjoyable read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was intense and convincing; the romance was fan-your-face hot because of the dirty talk between this couple, as Owen brings out Madison's not-so-sweet-and-innocent side; and the ending had me loving the decisions these two make in order to achieve their happy ever after because they're meant to be together. However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up wonderfully, as Madison and others are so determined to help Sawyer get past whatever is going on with him. Will their plan work or backfire? I would recommend Sweet Home Louisiana by Erin Nicholas, if you enjoy second chance romances or books by authors Avery Flynn, Kimberly Kincaid, Jennifer Bernard and Samantha Chase.
