In Reckless Love (Cowboys & Angels #7) by Kelly Elliott, Trevor Parker is constantly emotionally hurting Scarlett Littlefield; the only woman he's ever had a seriously strong connection with since he has no desire to settle down with one woman. However, when Trevor begins to think he could Scarlett for good, he starts to realize that he'll do anything to make things right between them, especially when he discovers she's pregnant. The only thing is will Scarlett be able to forgive Trevor for all the times he's hurt her so they have a chance at a future together?

Each book of this series is an absolutely brilliant read and it's a series where all books must be read in order for a reader to get to know the Parker family, how tight knit they are and the challenges each of the seven siblings face to achieve their happy ever after with Trevor being the last to achieve his. Since throughout the series, readers discover how much pain Trevor has caused Scarlett emotionally, which is a lot. Certainly, he's been a total jerk, but in this book, he totally won me over with his sweetness and his desire to make things right between them.

The way this story started with the prologue drew me in immediately, as Trevor and Scarlett have had an intense connection between them for a long time and I couldn't wait to discover how things have gone so wrong and how Trevor is going to make things right. Certainly, there are some tough obstacles for this pair to overcome such as the heroine's insecurities and secondary characters determined to cause trouble for the pair. Yet, I've got to say I was impressed by the direction Ms. Elliott took this story and the emotional rollercoaster she took me on as a reader, as Trevor fights for his happy ever after with Scarlett and shows her that there's no one more important than her in his life.

As for the dialogue, it was intense and compelling due to the main characters back stories, the obstacles these two face to be together and this couple's relationship as they find their way back to each other. Moreover, I really liked both the main characters, most especially Trevor as he does everything he can to win Scarlett back and show her that even though he's afraid of love he's willing to risk getting hurt to be with her. As for the heroine, she's resilient, courageous and I liked how determined she is to keep Trevor at a distance because he's hurt her deeply in the past and there may be no getting over such hurt. Yet, in saying that, no matter how hard she tries to resist him, it seems resisting Trevor isn't possible. Then again, Trevor doesn't make things easy for Scarlett. While the hero, I really felt for him because of his fear that he might get hurt if he gives a relationship a chance. However, in saying that, I liked how persistent and charming he is in winning Scarlett back because they're meant to be together.

Overall, Ms. Elliott has delivered a marvellous read in this last book of her Cowboys and Angels series where the secondary characters entertained me just as much as the main ones, even Eric; the chemistry between this couple was tangible and intense; the romance was full of heat and passion and showed how good these two are together; and the ending had me ready to cry for the hero and heroine because of what happens, but had me loving that everything worked out for the best. However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up nicely and has me looking forward to what comes next for the Parker family. I would recommend Reckless Love by Kelly Elliott, if you enjoy second chance romances, series encompassing siblings that each get their own happy ever after or books by authors Adriana Locke, Corinne Michaels, Vi Keeland and Kristy Bromberg.
