In Nice and Easy (Boys of the Big Easy #3) by Erin Nicholas, Caleb and Lexi have grown close over the past two years and he's there for her whenever she needs him. But when he deems her new living arrangement unsuitable and asks her to move in with him, Lexi reluctantly agrees. However, the more time they spend together under the same roof, the harder Lexi falls for Caleb. Yet, when Lexi realizes she may never be an equal partner in their relationship, will she walk away from the man she's in love with or will the pair fight for their relationship?

What a deliciously hot, fast-paced, extremely engaging read Ms. Nicholas has delivered in this book where the dialogue was a wonderful combination of teasing banter, dirty talk and intense moments; the main characters have interesting back stories that had me wanting to discover more about the pair; and the obstacles these two face to be together are tough, especially since Caleb is all about control and looking after everyone and the heroine wants to be an equal partner in the relationship but feels he'll never be able to give her what she wants. Will the hero be able to give Lexi what she wants when it comes to their relationship?

With the main characters, I absolutely loved Caleb. He melted my heart with his sweetness towards the heroine's son and his niece who he's now a parent to. I also liked how kind and caring he is and that he would do anything for those he cares about, especially Lexi. Yet, what I liked most of all about the hero was his determination to win the heroine over. While the heroine, she's sassy, hard-working, a great mom and I loved how she challenges Caleb, especially when it comes to what she wants both in the bedroom and out. I also liked how kind and caring she is and how determined she is to help Caleb's niece with what the little girl is dealing with when it comes to her health.

Overall, Ms. Nicholas has delivered a really good read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was intense; the romance was fan-your-hot because of the dirty talk and the heroine submitting to the hero; and the ending had me loving what the hero does to show the heroine that he's ready and willing to give her what she wants most when it comes to their relationship. However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up nicely because of the wonderful event happening and the final line that links back to the title of this book. I would recommend Nice and Easy by Erin Nicholas, if you enjoy the friends to lovers trope or books by authors Mari Carr, Kimberly Kincaid, Avery Flynn and Naima Simone.

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Erin Nicholas has been writing romances almost as long as she’s been reading them. To date, she’s written over thirty sexy, contemporary novels that have been described as “toe-curling,” “enchanting,” “steamy,” and “fun.” She adores reluctant heroes, imperfect heroines, and happily ever afters. Erin lives in the Midwest, where she enjoys spending time with her husband (who only wants to read the sex scenes in her books), her kids (who will never read the sex scenes in her books), and her family and friends (who claim to be “shocked” by the sex scenes in her books).
