In Lost Until You (Finding You #1) by Kimberly Daniels, returning to her hometown is hard for Cameron Singer, but she made a promise to her late mother and she's not going to break it. Besides, being back could prove to be a good thing, especially with Cole Stevens so determined to win her heart. Will Cameron be able to give another man a chance after everything she's been through or will she walk away to keep Cole safe when her past comes back to haunt her?

This was a wonderful read filled with plenty of emotion that had me smiling at times and crying at others; the main characters were extremely interesting because of all they've been through in their pasts; and the dialogue was compelling because the hero is charming and determined to win the heroine over, no matter how difficult she makes things because she's been hurt before. The way this story started had me liking the heroine immediately, as there's so much love between her and her son. Yet, being back in her hometown isn't easy because the place holds some painful memories for her. Will she stay in her hometown for good?

As for the dialogue, it was intense due to the main characters back stories and everything they go through on their journey to happy ever after including whether the heroine will give the hero a chance and how far the heroine's ex is willing to go for revenge. Moreover, the heroine is strong and brave in coming home, no matter how painful the memories because the small jersey town is actually good for her and helps her to finally heal from her past, especially since she finally learns something that brings someone important back into her life. I also liked how the heroine would do anything for her son, even if it's not good for her to have her ex back in her life. Why couldn't he just stay gone? Yet, what I liked most of all was the close friendship she shares with her best friend since Cameron definitely needs a push in Cole's direction as well as the sound advice and support her best friend gives her.

While the hero, he's been through so much and I could understand why he's afraid to tell the heroine how his past and hers interconnect. I could also sympathize with him when it comes to having to deal with his ex, as she made me think she was desperate. As for the hero, he was charming, confident, good with the heroine's son and I liked how determined he was to win the heroine over. Certainly, she isn't easy to win over, but I liked that he didn't stop trying because they're good for each other and can help each other to heal from the hurts of their pasts. Yet, what I liked most of all about the hero was the growing bond he shares with the heroine's son. It's adorable and I liked that Cole won the little boy over so easily.

Overall, Ms. Daniels has delivered a really good read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was strong; the romance delightful and had me cheering for this couple, as they're good together; and the ending had me worried for one of the main characters, but had me loving that these two ended up so happy. However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up nicely, as Cole and Cameron are meant to be. I would recommend Lost Until You by Kimberly Daniels, if you enjoy the friends to lovers trope, second chance romances, or books by authors Brighton Walsh, Stacey Kennedy, Nicole Blanchard and Cecy Robson.
