About the Book:
Bea Paxton is a free spirit. She loves her fledgling interior design business, having fun, and she loves men. But only temporarily. Rule #1 is no relationships, no love, no commitment. She likes being in charge. It’s the only way to protect herself from getting hurt again.
Zane Price is the perfect candidate for a steamy time—beautiful, built, and British. Plus, he’ll soon be moving back to England. Really perfect.
Well...except for the fact that he’s her biggest client. And he doesn’t play by her rules. Hell, no. He wants more. Much more. Which is definitely not on the agenda.
Unfortunately, his kisses are nothing short of toe-curlingly awesome. And he is distracting her—a lot—from doing her job.
She needs to stay away from him. Her livelihood depends on it.
But Zane always gets what he wants. And he wants Bea. But for right now? Or forever...?

In Casual Affair by Melanie Munton, Bea Paxton loves life, her career as an interior designer and to keep her relationships with men casual to keep herself from ever being hurt again. So, her new client Zane Price is just the right man to have a fling with. She finds she can have fun and keep her heart from getting involved, because he'll only be in the country until she finishes the job she's been hired to do for him. However, the more time Bea spends with him, the more she finds herself getting attached. Will Zane be able to convince Bea that they're meant for each other, or will Bea ruin everything because of her fear of getting hurt again?
This was a fun, hot and captivating read, which started off brilliantly with the way Zane is determined to show Bea that deciding whether she's the right person for the job he's offering doesn't need to be a major interview, and instead, that there's fun to be had. Although, it's palpable he's already decided, because she's an interesting woman that he's determined to get to know better. Will they give into their instant and intense chemistry straight away?
As for the dialogue, there was playful banter and hot dirty talk that led to even hotter intimacy, which proved these two are great together, if Bea can let her guard down enough to let Zane in. However, the teasing banter was balanced exceptionally well by the intense moments due to the main characters back stories. I couldn't help but feel sorry for Zane, as he feels such guilt over what happened to his mother that he feels he'll never be able to leave England permanently to give a relationship with Bea the chance it deserves. Can he find a way for them to be together? I also liked how persistent Zane was in his pursuit of Bea, because the heroine needs someone to show her that not everyone is out to use her. That there are still good men in the world that want a woman for who they are, not what they bring to the relationship in terms of family connections.
While Bea, she's confident, hard-working and a free-spirit that isn't afraid to speak her mind, especially when it comes to her work. I also liked how far she was willing to go for Zane when it came to the job she's doing. She's nothing if not a perfectionist. Then there's the close relationship she has with her sister and the challenge they issue each other. Will Bea win in pushing her sister into going after the man she wants?
Overall, Ms. Munton has delivered a really good read in this book where this couple's chemistry was strong, the sizzling romance heats up the pages and had me determined to discover whether Zane would win Bea over, and the ending left me with a smile because of the decision the hero made. He needed to put the past to rest and forgive himself. Yet, it was the words the hero and heroine say to each other towards the end that had me totally jubilant, as Bea is no longer afraid to admit how much in love with the hero she is. I would recommend Casual Affair by Melanie Munton, if you enjoy books encompassing free-spirited heroines that find love or books by authors Jess Dee, Cathryn Fox, Alison Gatta or Joya Ryan.

Meet the Author:
Melanie grew up in a small town in rural Missouri. After marrying her husband, she decided she wanted to try coastal life. A few months later, they moved to North Carolina where she discovered her passion for writing, and they never looked back.
Melanie’s other passion is traveling and seeing the world. With anthropology degrees under their belts, she and her husband have made it their goal in life to see as many archaeological sites around the world as possible.
She has a horrible food addiction to pasta and candy (not together…ew). And she gets sad when her wine rack is empty.
At the end of the day, she is a true romantic at heart. She loves writing the cheesy and corny of romantic comedies, and the sassy and sexy of suspense. She aims to make her readers swoon, laugh out loud, maybe sweat a little, and above all, fall in love.
I love the cover of this book and am definitely going to read it. It sounds wonderful.
