In The Greek's Stowaway Bride by Alexia Adams, Heiress Rania Ghalli is determined to free her uncle from prison before it's too late. But every effort has led her to the trouble she finds herself in when agents climb aboard the boat she's hiding on to arrest her. Claiming she's the wife of Greek millionaire Demetri Christodoulou is her only chance to stay free and able to achieve her goal. However, when Demetri suggests they marry for real in exchange for his help in getting her uncle free, will Rania agree to his proposal or will their chance at happy ever after be over before it ever really begins?

This is only the second book I've read by Ms. Adams, and I've got to say she has a mesmerizing and addictive writing style that once I finish one of her books, I want to start reading another one straight away and that was especially true after getting to the end of this book. The way this story started had me liking both the main characters immediately, as the heroine is resourceful, persistent and I liked how determined she was to free her uncle. Even knowing how dangerous things could become if she didn't have Demetri to protect her, because he's a high-profile man that could bring a lot of unwanted attention down on those that are after her.

The dialogue was well-written and a delightful combination of intense moments due to the main characters back stories and teasing banter between the main characters that ups the sexual tension so much until it spills over onto the pages in hot sex scenes that do this couple's chemistry justice. No way is Demetri about to allow Rania to get away with her lies without getting something in return, and I liked that he makes certain the only answer she can give is yes to his proposal. Talk about being backed into a corner with no escape.

As for the main characters, Demetri was a totally captivating hero and I loved what he did to convince Rania to marry him for real, even if he did have to use dirty tactics to get her to say yes. I also like how he helped the heroine to find a way to free her uncle, although what they did in the end was more dangerous than any of them expected. However, what I liked most was the close relationship he had with his mother and how Rania helped to bridge the gap between he and his grandfather, because the hero believed the old man didn't think much of him growing up and Demetri was determined to prove him wrong. While the heroine, she's feisty, a quick-thinker and I liked how determined she was to convince everyone that she and Demetri were in love and happily married. I also liked how kind and caring the heroine was and how she won Demetri's family over. They certainly took a shine to her.

Overall, Ms. Adams has delivered a fantastic read in this book where there was plenty of chemistry between the main characters that didn't make it easy for either the hero and heroine not to get attached and want to change the time they had together since Demetri decided to put a time limit on their marriage. The way this story ended had me worried for this couple's happy ever after because of the lies and betrayal. Would they be able to forgive each other? However, I liked how Demetri made things right between them. His words and his actions prove that he loves Rania and I loved the part he says about Rania being like a butterfly. Besides, how could he not make things right with her, especially when he's holding information from her that will make her extremely happy? I would recommend The Greek's Stowaway Bride by Alexia Adams, if you enjoy the fake relationship trope, the marriage of convenience trope, or books by authors Virginia Nelson, Carmene Falcone, Sarah Ballance and Naima Simone.

Egyptian heiress Rania Ghalli is desperate to free her political prisoner uncle before it's too late. Hoping to make it to North Africa, she stows away on the yacht of Greek millionaire Demetri Christodoulou. But when Egyptian agents board the boat, she can either jump overboard...or claim she's Demetri's new bride.

Tired of being no more than the bastard disgrace to the Christodoulou name, Demetri intends to build a luxury resort below his grandfather's house so the old man has no choice but to acknowledge that Demetri has made something of himself. But first, he needs a wife to complete the land purchase.

With Rania now at his mercy, a plan comes together. He'll play along, protecting her and helping to free her uncle, but in exchange, he demands a real marriage. But keeping the vivacious heiress out of his heart will be a lot harder than keeping her on his ship...

  1. I loved Masquerading with the Billionaire when you recommended it over at HJ, so I'll definitely read this book. Great review.
