The beer's not the only thing getting tapped.

CALLIE

I have a secret. It’ll get me fired if my boss ever finds out…which shouldn’t be a problem except for one thing: my coworker, Reid Morgan.

He’s cocky, aggravating, and that hot-as-sin mouth simultaneously makes me want to slap him and melt into the mattress.

Now that he’s discovered my secret, he’s doing everything in his power to take my job.

REID

I have a problem: my pint-size spitfire of a coworker who’s primed to take my promotion.

She’s infuriating, sexy as hell, and I just can’t seem to keep my hands off her.

Now we’re both vying for the same position…and only one of us can come out on top.

In Tap That by Jennifer Blackwood and RC Boldt, Reid Morgan was hoping to get a promotion at the bar where he works. However, it seems the owner has other ideas when he hires Callie. Forced to work together, Reid doesn't know whether he should help her or watch her crash and burn, especially when it seems she's unqualified for the manager position. Yet, the more they work together, the harder they find it not to give into their intense chemistry. Will Callie and Reid be able to work through the obstacles keeping them apart, or will they lose their shot at happy ever after?

What an absolutely brilliant and captivating read Ms. Blackwood and Ms. Boldt have delivered in this book, which had me hooked from the very beginning, but most especially from the moment the hero and heroine meet. Since the hero is shocked by the decision his boss has made and not about to make things easy for the heroine. Will the heroine be able to win Reid over? Will the heroine be able to break through the hero's animosity towards her with her sense of humor and make Reid understand that she's not going anywhere no matter how rude he is to her?

Both the main characters are incredible, the dialogue a perfect combination of witty banter and intense moments, and I loved every interaction between this pair, as Reid wants to hate Callie, and yet, there's too much chemistry between them that makes it hard for him to keep his distance. How long will it take these two to give into their intense chemistry? Moreover, I felt sorry for the heroine when it came to her reasons for needing the manager position because her parents have never respected that she can make her own decisions. However, in saying that, I liked how resilient and courageous she is when it comes to finally standing up for herself. I also liked how she handles Reid and isn't afraid to challenge him.

While the hero, he's hard-working, confident and I liked that he's a decent guy, which is proven when it comes to what happens to the heroine concerning her job as manager and not understanding why he doesn't suffer the same consequences.  I also liked the tight bond the hero shared with his best friend and that said best friend wasn't afraid to tick the hero off when he thinks Reid is being stupid. Yet, what I liked most of all about the hero is the close relationship he has with his grandma and that he would do anything for her, even if it means having to be around a bunch of old ladies that get a little frisky and had me laughing at their antics.

Overall, Ms. Blackwood and Ms. Boldt have penned a fantastic read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was off-the-charts; the romance was hot and full of passion; and the ending had me liking the hero's determination to prove to the heroine that he wants her in his life. Will the heroine be willing to take a chance on Reid, considering everything that happens between them that causes their relationship to go awry? However, it is what the heroine does to prove to Reid that she wants a relationship between them that had me smiling big time. Yet, it was the last chapter that wrapped this story up perfectly because of the surprise the hero has for the heroine. I would recommend Tap That by Jennifer Blackwood and RC Boldt, if you enjoy the enemy to lovers trope or books by authors Emma Hart, Sawyer Bennett, Katie McCoy and Cindi Madsen.
